Frequently Asked Questions
Our patients ask us interesting questions every day, so we thought it would be helpful to include some of the most common ones right here! To view the answer, simply click on each question below. If you have a question that we haven’t answered, be sure to contact our office and ask! There’s no such thing as a silly question, so whatever you need to know, we’ll be happy to tell you.
How often should I see my dentist?
Dr. Cher Rich recommends that patients of all ages should visit their dentist at least twice a year for a routine checkup and cleaning. When it comes to the long term health of your smile, these two visits are just as important as brushing and flossing every day.
Can you fix my broken/decayed tooth?
Yes we can! We actually have a variety of restorative treatments that can repair chipped, cracked, broken, and decayed teeth. For a small cavity, we can probably fix it using a filling, but for a more damaged tooth, a dental crown may be more appropriate. All in all, no matter what your smile needs, we can provide it.
How can you replace my missing teeth?
There are actually a few different ways we can do this. Whether you are missing a single tooth or multiple teeth, we can replace them using either dental bridges or dentures. However, for a more permanent and natural-looking solution, we may suggest dental implants. Dental implants are the most similar to your natural teeth, and they provide the best results when it comes to security, longevity, AND aesthetics when compared to every other tooth replacement option.
Can you improve the appearance of my smile?
Pretty much every treatment we provide can do that! However, we can offer a number of cosmetic treatments that are specifically designed to give you a beautiful smile. Whether you are looking for a slight touch-up or a complete makeover, we can give you just about any kind of smile you want!
Can you make my teeth look whiter?
Yes, and we actually have two different ways we can do it. Firstly, we can make you a custom whitening kit that will allow you to brighten your smile in the comfort of your own home. Our kits are much stronger and reliable than anything you can currently buy in the store. Or, if you want results sooner than later, we can also perform a complete treatment right in our office that only takes about an hour. Regardless of which approach you use, the end result will be a smile that is up to 8 shades whiter!
Do you accept children?
Yes, we are more than happy to see Houston’s littlest smiles! We can clean their teeth, perform exams, and answer any questions you might have about taking care of their teeth as they grow and develop.
Will you accept my dental insurance?
We are an in-network provider for most PPO insurance plans, and you can view a list of plans we accept right here. If you don’t see your plan on this list, we may still be able to work with you, so be sure to contact us today with any questions you have about your coverage.
